Don't worry about being different. Worry about being the same as everyone else

By being the same as everyone else, your true unique self, qualities and character don’t shine through!

With tough competition for the best jobs and a huge pool of incredible talent all chasing the next opportunity, what is your competitive advantage?

In the days when I lacked self-esteem and confidence

I spent years hiding and not wanting to be seen

Once I overcame that

It excited me to be able to stand out

Upon embarking on my career in tech, I thought it was great to be different, to be a woman of colour, in a male dominated environment

For me, standing out was a good thing

Making a positive impression on others

By simply being me

True to myself, honest and authentic

My belief is that we all have value to bring to the table, in our own unique way

So what better way to do so, than to identify our own Unique Value Proposition

And leverage this to stand out from the crowd

This takes courage indeed, to overcome the fear of others criticism and judgement

Which is often driven by their own insecurities and fears

My advice:

Don’t allow others to challenge your uniqueness

Instead, leverage your UVP, your competitive advantage

To stand out from the crowd

And be remembered for the right reasons.
